Transcription: For the first year, the House met in a room intended to house the Library of Congress. Then, from 1801 until 1804, Congress met in a temporary room, which members would call the Oven. For most of the year, the room was hot and stuffy. For the next three years, they returned once again to the Library of Congress room.
